Patrick: I've never been about flowers or candy or that kind of junk, although I must admit I've always admired the ease with which some dancers can simply toss a sword and cry, "Est-ce un poignard que je vois devant moi?" God those were the days. Now life is filled to the brim with grenades and rye, with molten steel and Care Bears, and with all manners of butter biscuits. I yearn for simpler days, when a canoe was not so canoe-ish, and when a man and a woman could solve for acceleration due to gravity in public without fear of being smacked with a fish. But alas, those times are long since past. In the meantime and in the spitefultime, we must continue to endeavor to persevere.
